About the Work

Edition & Care

Edition Information

In contemporary art, “editions” may take several forms. Common classifications include:

  • Unique: one-of-a-kind work
  • Limited Edition: a fixed number of works, individually numbered
  • Open Edition: an edition without a predetermined production limit
  • AP / HC: Artist’s Proof / Hors Commerce; often reserved by the artist or treated as a special allocation
  • Variants: works presented as distinct versions due to differences in glaze, color, or specifications

For editioned works, the photographs shown may depict one representative example from the edition. All works are physical originals; however, due to the nature of hand-making and kiln firing, each piece will exhibit subtle variations in surface, color, and character.

About the Work

Each work is produced entirely by hand. Variations such as slight warping, differences in thickness, and irregularities in glaze are not considered defects, but integral characteristics of the work. The uniformity of an industrial product is neither intended nor achievable; we invite you to appreciate these individual differences as part of the work’s unique presence.

Glaze and Surface

Glaze flow and coloration are influenced by multiple factors during firing, including temperature fluctuation and flame conditions. As a result, an identical finish may not be reproducible. Please also note that colors may appear slightly different in photographs than in person due to lighting and display settings.

Handling and Care

As ceramic works, pieces may be damaged by dropping or strong impact. They may be rinsed with water; however, prolonged soaking should be avoided. For storage, please avoid extended exposure to direct sunlight, high temperatures, and humid environments.
