"OPEN WORLD" Curated by NEW SCALE

PAMMA (Kagurazaka, Tokyo) is pleased to present OPEN WORLD, a group exhibition curated by contemporary culture media New Scale. The exhibition features four participating artists: Soft Baroque, Pierre Castignola, Geray Mena, and Toshiki Yagisawa, who will present perspectives on the increasingly complex nature of modern society through their respective practices.

Inspired by the "open world" of computer games, this exhibition sees both the audience and the artists become the "protagonists," with countless stories emerging from their interactions with the artworks.

Soft Baroque creates sensory gaps in archetypes of furniture such as benches and tables, eliciting multi-layered perceptions. Pierre Castignola explores the boundaries between consumer culture and intellectual property through everyday products, offering sharp critical commentary. Geray Mena combines the ephemeral with the eternal in his photographs, visualizing layers of time. Yagisawa Toshiki creates works that reconsider the frameworks of materials and perception, fluctuating between ceramics, wood sculpture, and digital technology.

This exhibition will be a forum where viewers can interact with the artworks and weave new stories. Come experience "OPEN WORLD," where diverse perspectives resonate and open up the future of visual culture.

In addition, to coincide with this group exhibition, "OPEN WORLD," a collection of works will be published by the editorial team of TOO MUCH Magazine, featuring exclusive interviews with each artist.
