“&” PROJECT / TOSHIKI × Bang & Olufsen BEOSOUND A1+8 = TOSHIKI (2024)

As part of the “&” PROJECT, this collaboration reimagines Bang & Olufsen's iconic BEOSOUND A1 through the lens of TOSHIKI's design philosophy. Inspired by David Lewis's BEOSOUND 8 (2010), the piece combines 3D-printed components with natural cork, extending the A1's form and presence within a space.

The fusion of precise industrial design and warm, tactile materials gives the speaker a sculptural quality—an object that resonates visually even before it produces sound. When paired in stereo, the work deepens the experience further, merging Bang & Olufsen's sound ethos with TOSHIKI's distinctive approach to form.
